Xerox 252 has a fat magenta line

Hi, When I print, I get a fat 1" line along the whole print. Please see picture. Happens to all the prints at the same location. Can anyone help. Thank you!9-24-2021 3-54-02 PM.jpg

well it looks like Ros lens exposed to toner /check machine filter/clean Ros window if still go down to developer housing for contamination easy to check just take out cover and check developer at the mag roll for a even toner/developer brush.

      Hope this help,

This looks like the ABSENCE of YELLOW, to me.

Remember, this is CMYK: subtractive color, not RGB: additive color. =^..^=
If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
        1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
        2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
        3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
        4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
        5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.

Agree, the problem color here is clearly yellow, not magenta. Magenta is there, so it is working fine. And the width of the band makes my first guess contamination on or in the ROS window for yellow. (Which is very common, PARTICULARLY on yellow.)

If the toner dust is on the outside of the yellow ROS window, you can clean it with some gymnastics and a swab. If the dust has gotten sucked inside the ROS unit and is on the inside, on one of the mirrors or lenses, you have to completely remove it and open it up and clean everything extremely carefully. (Much bigger hassle.)
