Wast toner WC7855 and alta C8055

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with the waste toner bottle.
The "near full" message appears, but the bottle is blocked and has caused damage to all the drums.

Is there a way to configure the machine to stop automatically before the "near full" message to prevent this problem?

CHRONIC issue. Let me know if you find a fix.

I think it may have something to do with customers pulling out the waste box pre-full just to play with it.

...or Xerox decided to use this method to kill out-of-contract machines remotely.

Yes, I have informed the customers to pull out the bottle, but they always forget to do this.

As far as I know, when the sensor detects toner in front of the window, it will trigger the 'waste toner almost full' message, and print only a x-number of pages before stopping altogether. The number of pages it prints between the warning and stopping, is factory fixed and assumes a standard supply of waste toner. Maybe if the machine produces an excessive amount of waste toner, because of bad transfer for example, it keeps on dumping toner even though the container is full.
If the 'waste toner full' message appears pretty quickly (within 10K prints) of replacing a waste toner, that would support my theory, In that case you'd have to troubleshoot transfer or look for other reasons why the machine is wasting toner.
