    EC78565 won't boot, won't altboot

    The LED on the SBC counts up from 0, 5, 9...then 4 seconds later shows u with the blinking .
    Tech thinks this machine had an electrical issue from the wall outlet. The surge protector
    data showed numerous over/under volts.

    Will not Altboot, sticks at the green screen.
    Tech has tried one at a time: SD card, HDD, SBC, then tried all of them new.
    Still not getting anywhere. Xerox hotline said if that doesn't work, try Altboot,
    even after we told them it won't altboot. (he had broken English, so might have been
    a he didn't get it or we didn't get it).

    Any other suggestions?

    I have tried different ram modules, that didn't work either. Also tried leaving out the
    sim card, then tried leaving out the SD card, which just gave me a different failure number
    LED on the SBC.

          Making some progress...took the HDD that was in the machine, connected it to my laptop. Didn't really see anything.
          Took the HDD that we tried and it was formatted for NTFS. Once I took the formatting away, left it a blank drive, it's
          now updating via altboot like it should.

              Well, the HDD got it to altboot, but after it finished it wouldn't boot completely.
              Found the SD tool to put the image on the SD card. Did that, reflashed altboot
              and bingo! It's back up and running!

                  It continues!

                  Well, I thought when I went home the other night it was good to go.
                  Put it through it's paces and I powered it off, back on and it sort of did it again.
                  No display, but all the control panel lights are on. No fans, motors etc.
                  Powered it off again back on, same thing. Then I left it on, pulled the power,
                  let it set for about 5 minutes. Powered it off, plugged it back in, hard power on,
                  soft power on and it came back up.
                  We've got a LVPS coming. I suspect something in the power supply is tango uniform.

                      The problem WAS the LVPS. Replace it, machine functions properly
