    Xerox 7845 weird problems

I have a Xerox 7845 that may have been zapped.
all of a sudden the original is stopping half way through the ADF. I have to remove it manually from underneath. There is no obstruction. Also tray one says empty but there is paper in it. Tray 4 does work. Also the display screen is showing green and purple where it was never there before. Kind of a faint pulsating pattern.
is this a board problem? Customer does not have any surge protection. There was a recent storm and power outage. Is it worth repairing if it is?
    please advise. Thank you.

Does it declare a jam in the ADF? Is tray 1 lifting? UI is a different story. Could be the UI or the LVPS (just guessing right out of the gates)

No it does not declare a jam. . It prints about 2/3 of the page and the print does come out. But the original stays stuck. I ran cardboard through it. It’s just stopping. For no reason. That’s why I suspect a board.

Ive have had that issue multiple times with the adf. In most cases the Pyxis board resolved it. And for the ui that almost looks like the cables need to be re-seated on the screen side.

I was able to swap the ADF from a parts machine and that solved the problem with the original stopping half way through the path.
My question now is: did the board inside the ADF get zapped? You can see the board if you take off the black plastic cover that you see when you pull up the top latch to get to the feed rollers.
None of the pads underneath the black plastic cover are sticky so it's not that.

I replace the pads under the black plastic cover with new foam pieces. That has fixed the doc. jams for me.
