    Xerox wc7225 adf jam

    Hi

I am looking for an advice regarding error code 305-132. Machine jam at the same point (please see photo) all the time so scan copy from adf is not possible. Replacing whole adf solve the problem so I sm sure the problem is only at adf itself.
Inverter sensor is working but obviously is not activated because paper does not reach it. Turning manually green jam gear it move paper like it should so there seems to be nothing what could block the paper path.

Has anyone experienced this issue or can advice what should I check? I suspected rollers where the paper stop but after cleaning still the same jam.

      Thanks for your input.
I tried this together with belt item 17 but it was from another machine. Still jam after replacing.⁰

have you tried replacing the one way gear?

try rolling / rotating the big green gear ( the gear to clear jammed docs).
rotate it clock wise slowly, any slip?
rotate it counter clock wise slowly, any slip?

if there is slip, most likely the gear is broken / not holding properly.

Now I am totally confused because it takes pages without jam. I will test it again tomorrow. I fell like I have done nothing so I am not sure why it starts work. I really need to test it again tomorrow and screw chute and cover back. It is not a machine f/w issue because I checked this adf assy on another one and the problem follows. It is working now but why ...

Sometime the oil from one way gears go to the shafts and you get sliping mechanisms.
Clean with isopropylic alcohol the shaft and gears

it could be pwb or like adriansto said, oil / slip from one way gear and the shaft.

                from the service manual:

305-132 DADF Invert Sensor On Jam
                BSD-ON:BSD 5.6 - Document Scan and Invert
