    xerox fuser oil

Hello guys. I am trying to find a good lubricant for phaser 3610, workcentre 3655, versalink b405 fuser, but nothing works. What do you use as fuser oil for these machines? Maybe some tips on rebuilding these fusers?
    Thank you

    Re: xerox fuser oil

I just use regular old silicon fuser oil used for the old dups. actually works on the B405, and the 78 series also, if you catch them when they first start to fault. On the 78 series, I just use a small straw on the end of the sleeve and put about a 1 1/2 cc of oil about 3" in. This avoids taking it fully apart. Tip the fuser so it flows to the other end, and upside down so the internal wicks soak it up. Although, most fusers needing oil are almost at end of life anyway. Have no rebuild process cause I don't know who would sell OEM or equivalent sleeves and/or rolls (for the B405).

Never measured it. I just run the oil down the wicks to semi saturate it, and it seems to work at least temporarily.

It'sjust Xerox fuser oil, not fuser lube, and not fuser agent. Maybe they would work, but have not tried it.

i tried using canon fuser grease. it does not work, as it block the thermistor and gives error.

now I try putting engine oil but have not test the fuser.

i will try to use silicon oil next

What error you have from the fuser, thermal or rotation?

The toner is not fused properly. Also, it does not rotate easily. The pressure roller slips, if I am describing it correctly.

All 3 of those models appear to be entry levels models that if anything only have a cleaning wick that has a very small amount of silicon oil to attract paper lint off the fusing sleeve. If it has dried out, it is time to replace the fusing unit. Too much oil on the fusing sleeve will cause it to slip against the pressure roller, again time to replace the fusing unit.
