    Ricoh C306Z upgrade/replacement

I currently own a Ricoh C306Z I got second hand, it works great as home & home office multifunction.

It has only a couple of observations from my heavy user (wife), photo prints are not that good, and it's not adhesive paper friendly

Now I have the need to print also A3, I was offered two really different options:

    1. Second hand Xerox WorkCentre 7220 (laser, big)
    2. Brand new Epson L15150 (ink tank, nicer with adhesive paper due to less heat involved, more compact)

    What would be your recommendation?

Avoid the Xerox especially as it's used.

Can't comment of the Epson but any ink models are a nightmare.

If you have the option go with a Konica Minolta they handle various media very well. The Bizhub C458 for example (used)

Thanks for the feedback, curious about the Xerox thing. Can you elaborate?, What are the common issues?.

Haven't seen any second hand Konica Minolta offer around. Will start asking.

The paper is some no-name paper I source from libraries or supermarket. It's mostly used for handcraft or school stuff.

The ink option looks solid, ink tank, no cartridges. I was expecting a swap, might just get a non multifunction to handle A3 + Photo printing + adhesive paper and keep the Ricoh as multifunction if I can arrange room for both.

i would start by looking at materials that are designed to go through laser printers or ink jet's
on your MPC it is likely some of the adessive has got onto the transfer belt causing your quality issues
this is common on machines where a lot of labels are printed and more so if they are not designed to go through the type of machine ie laser or ink

In short Xerox only provide support for a register dealer. It can be difficult to even obtain the toners unless you have a maintenance contract.

Is that much different in comparison with Ricoh for example?

Most if not all the adhesive/sticker & glossy/photo paper I find is for inkjet. Is there any brand you could recommend for laser?
