Re: Altalink C8035, fault 316-720
A tech friend of mine was able to get it running properly. He tried the front usb, ended up using the usb on board, tried different usb drives, different hard drives, etc. He was able to load an older version of software on it. After a couple hours it is up and running, no more system faults.

You also need a file called DISABLE_DATA_BACKUP like FORCED_UPGRADE. This will wipe all customer settings and address book but should push the altboot in.Leave a comment:

Altalink C8035, fault 316-720
The copier shows system error shortly after it powers on. It still copies, scans, and prints ok. It tried reloading with a usb using altboot and with forced upgrade. It didn't load, just powered on. They currently run 103.001 system software.
I need to reload the software to fix it. Or replace the hdd. Does anyone have the special altboot dlm (and the two swup files) they can share with me? I would greatly appreciate it. It will be needed if I have to replace the hdd.
