    WorkCentre 4150 Lost Its Marbles...Really!

This machine has all this stuff going on at the same time:

The first thing you notice when you walk up to this sick little monster is that it boots to an error. It is a fault 0 that refers to some missing http element.

If you move past that you can get to a copy screen, where it says it is warming up forever. Funny that it does seem to be getting warm, but it never moves past the message.

You can navigate far enough at this stage to see that it no longer recognizes its fax option.

If you try to log into tools, it rejects the password. The password is good, as it works fine in the web interface.

If you try to push firmware into the machine it says it is busy.

If you remove the extension memory module, the machine will still have the error, but the normal display is visible behind it. It brings up the hardware discrepancy screen, but since the machine is not recognizing its admin password I can't go any farther down that path.

I have seen a similar post recommending to reset the machine by disconnecting the battery from the back of the machine and draining the remaining current by hooking a meter to it...

Thanks for checking out my insane machine!

That is the classic sign of corrupted hard drive. Try software reload. If you can't do a reload you may have a damaged hard drive.
