    Xerox 245 problem

We have a Xerox 245 that is ghosting images on the front & back. Before it was just ghosting on the bottom of the 2nd side which we eliminated by darkening the image quality but that is no longer working.

It seems as tho the toner isn't being spread evenly throughout the developer module.

Originally, we had the main copper gear in the back grind down to nothing. We replaced that and we had the same issue as above. We replaced the main motor and that corrected the ghosting the first time. We then had the main copper gear go bad again (which seems to be a common issue with this machine). We then replaced the developer module. That seemed to have fixed it for a while but the ghosting has reoccurred.

Thank you in advance for any feedback or help.

Check transfer/detack assembly for correct position of corotron wires in end blocks.

We checked that and it looks fine. Our problem is mostly on the bottom corner of the page where toner isn't being distributed evenly.

      Any other thoughts?

What software level is the machine? There might be a spar listing for this type of defect.

If I look at pics, could be xerografic problem (drum modul,tc/dc corotron, dev. housing,HVPS?)

Ok, we tried pretty much everything as suggested. It seems to be that its not getting enough toner, maybe from the bottle to the developer module.

Any chance there could be a clog somewhere preventing the toner from getting to the unit? We already replaced the motor that turns the toner bottle.

change the whole dispenser unit not just the mot, and run the TC setup in diagnostics.

We just replaced the whole unit. It may have 20k copies on it, no more.
