    Doc 250 042-326

OK. Got a Doc 250 had grinding DV gears and was throwing off IBT belt error. Replaced IBT, reset nvm, put in new drive gears to fix dv grinding.

Go to start now without dv gears in back grinding or the ibt code.

Press start to make a black copy and again get the 042-326. Have checked reflector, clutch cam position etc on IBT all good.

Anyone who has a tip on this I would really appreciate it. Our tech has the service laptop and he is stumped. I tihnk it may be something simple he is overlooking.

clean the ibt cleaner and check the rotation of ibt motor by component control code (output check).

Basically toner dust gets into several places inside the IBT assembly and the unit always requires a regular service after several print cycles. I don't think your problem has to do with any failed part. Simple thorough pressure air blow and cleaning of the whole assembly should do. Make sure the transfer belt is first removed and especially clean the transfer belt position sensor, the retract sensor, the edge of the belt bearing the mark on belt and the mark itself.

Assuming you've clean the home sensor and edge belt sensor and the patch is clean, the signals may be the problem.
Problem may be ribbon cables in rear that go from driver board to mcu, I have cleaned them and that works; and I have switched them (they are the same) around and that's worked. Good luck.
Thank you Xerox for not putting them on the X700
