Need hard drive with sys software for Fiery EX12

Got in a Doc 12 with an ex12 yesterday and the hard drive is gone. Looking for a used working pull.

What you need are the installation cd's for this machine.
Just plug i a new harddrive and reinstall the FIERY software for the EX12

Well, that's correct but Xerox parts does not have them (they can't find them without a part number - it is an accessory and not a part, etc etc) so my best bet is to find a working pull. You know where I can find the op sys cd's?

Well be carefull with those Fiery's as best I know the hard drive is married with the mother board so they a tricky to handle . I tried already to use a har drive prepeared and formated on another Fiery and don't work on mine. Try to revive your original drive and make an image of yours and try.

i bed to differ wiwa. Unless there is any hardware difference a hdd working one fiery will work in another.

Any HDD will work, just cannot replace main board and HDD at same time.
If need to replace HDD must have working main borad and if you need to replace main board must have working HDD.

Find a good compatible hard drive online for cheap. Then reload the software from the disks. There is no security feature that will keep you from doing that. Easy peasy.

change HD with any standart IDE (PATA) hard disk and preinstall system from instalation CDs (they are 3pcs). you can put in 40GB, 80GB or 160GB IDE hard drive.
you cant use HD from another fiery, because will get error: illegal licence or any else .....

I did clone once from one Xp12 hdd to another because I don't have installation cd and fiery is working fine.

hi, i also need cd's for EX12. I have version 1.0 but it's old and very bad. 2.0 will be fine.
