WC 7245 touchscreen locked !!!

Mostly it is dirt under the Cover. Disassemble the whole touchunit, clean the touch and also the silver metal part (it is the groundconnector), reassemble. Reboot the device and recalibrate the touchscreen.

Solution to touch screen problem may help but 75 % i just replace the dam thing.
First reseat the molex connection going into the back of the machine you can see it the gray harness coming out of the scanner going into the back of the ESS.
If this does not work try calibration switch of machine . Then whilst holding 0,1 and 3 buttons down switch on machine untill calibration points are shown. Touch these points with a pen. this should now calibrate.

- remove touch screen, disassemble it, clean everything (clean contacts with alcohol), put it back.
- calibrate (0,1,3).

99% you have to change the whole UI... i have replaced at least 30pcs in last year...

I've seen dozens of these in last time. Only one touch screen is working, and I believe is close to end...

I've many times dis-assemled it, cleaned it with xerox alcohol,checked all the contacts,but nothing: still frozen touch screen.Could be a specific electronic part like capacitors or something like these ??Any ideas on how a touch screen works ? Need help from electronics guys !

There is a bulletin for this sort of problem (7228/35,7328/35/45)
You need to replace touch panel assembly. Only LCD is not enough.
I replaced more than 25 pcs.

Hi, i have the same problem my touchscreen is unable to communicate with the RIP PC on the back an i replaced the bad battery and now i need the correct wcps diagnostics navigator for the c3545 for find the problem or restore a working configuration. I think that the configuration was gone with the empty battery.

can onyone help me in this case?

Do a search for this part # N010-0554-T504

This is a replacement touch screen (touch screen only, not LCD display). It works with WC7245 - WC7346 and also for the 4595.

I have had many of these machines with faulty touch screens and this replacement screen works great and is also a much cheaper alternative to replacing the
touch panel assembly.

Replace the touchescreen only, solved my problem for the 7245. search for Part No:N010-0554-T504

I bought it here with high speed delivery! Bought it Wednesday evening en received it Friday morning. From Texas(USA) to Amsterdam (Netherlands)
