    I can't explain in 2 sentences
Just remove back cover, then black fly wheel and so on... You have to remove many parts to reach retract clutch.

About P/J connector, this is from Eureka:
This connector is located on an air duct on the bottom right hand corner of the IOT Drive PWB and acts as a double plug to connect on one side to the connector of the IBT Cleaner Blade home position sensor and the other side to a connector that leads to the IOT Drive PWB.

You must remove it from machine. Need only screwdriver. And then clean it with film remover or alcohol.
I'm 100% sure that clutch is your problem, but just saw in Eureka that P/J 717 connector might be loose and cause this fault.

    yes it's inside.
Maybe you'll find hard to reach it for the first time, but i believe you'll succeed.

Clean/replace IBT cleaner retract clutch PN 121K17940.
I used to clean it with alcohol, and it worked for a long time..
