I've never really had much success mucking around with it outside of simply reloading the software via the CD's and if this doesn't work then replacing the drive and reloading the software.

If you need to get the CD's Try this:

You can actually ask EFI Fiery for them Directly, and the thing is they can't sell it to you because of their contract with Xerox so they will give it to you for free if you persist.

It's not the usual thing that they do.

One of my customers told me that they did this and I told another one of my customers about this and EFI did the same thing for them.

No guarantees but it's certainly worth a try.

I need help too! my rip just start shows "loading" and does not charge more! other times I reinstalled the 2cd and everything was settled, but today this method does not work anymore! how can I fix this? I urgently need a rip! I heard through the computer to repair the hdd but how can I do? I lost all hope!

another question ... far as it can support the capacity of this fiery hdd? I have opened the door of the rip and I have noticed that the fiery mounts a hdd "quantum fireball lct 10 3,5 " series ". on internet I have found many hdds but they are from 20gb or 40gb. work well too?

I just sorted this by cloning the hdd from a good X12, requires you can find one

Perhaps you have a colleague or friend with an X12 who has one and is willing to allow you to clone the Hdd?

myself I have another fiery! I have a 2 dc12 with 2 fiery x12. One works, the other no.
first question: how can I clone the hdd?
second question: in internet I have found some hdd, but they don't correspond to the exact one it initials of that that is on my broken hdd. broken hdd: " quantum fireball lct 10 3,5" " - In internet there are other, example: "quantum fireball lct 15", "quantum fireball lct 20", etc. They work if I buy them? does my fiery support them?

The latest Fiery system software for x12 is v1.5 SP2 (3CDs). It includes all windows patches needed plus mac OS compatibility patches. Just for everyone to know

I have the 3 original cd's v1.5 but are in bad condition .If anyone have copiesfrom original cds in good condition let it know ....Thanks in advance
