    workcentre pro 232 problem

    Hi to all

    I need help with workcentre pro 232. Unit starts up and thn displays error about scanner initialisation. If mirror assy was on left side of frame it goes to the right stops at the end, if assy was on right side it starts to bash on right side of frame.

    Since I'm unfamiliar with this copier I need all help that I can get.

      @TzALbg

      thx for tip. Resistor has fallen of the pcb. Do You know values of resistors on other side of pcb (same corner of pcb). They seem to be damaged by heat and casing has fallen of.

        Pozz

        I usually solder the old SMD resistor and it works. Some of mine friends were changing the other resistors but i never did. Only once pcb was so badly damaged that had to be replaced.

            It is better to place this R away with two wires . In 45/55 mashines it is 5 Watt and not on CCD PWB

              after replacement today and further examination i heave found that transistor (can not read markings on it) next to resistor is burned and probably a cause to all problems. device can turn on and even can copy but smell of burn electronics is too high.

              Does someone heave this device close by and is able to read component markings on transistor and 3 resistor on other side of board?

                resistors are marked r91, r90 and r92. they are totally burnt (casing has fallen off)

                  OK all is working now. replaced transistor with new one (old was burnt crisp), replaced resistor with 150ohm one and so far so good. no heat no smoke.
