Xerox 238

I have a xerox machine that has been waiting on a part (exit roller) and now that I have replaced the roller I get the message, (install phase incomplete) Speed ID Invalid.

Can some one direct me how to get into Service Mode for this machine as I do not have a service manual,

I think I need to get into DC131 to change a few settings.

If I am wrong please correct me.

I was able to get rid of the message (install incomplete).

does any one know a workaround for the error Message (Machine Speed ID Invalid)

My Battery on the NVM chip went dead after waiting for the part and having the machine unplug for a month.

If there is a way to correct this please let me know, if not I will have to wait on the software cd,s and reinstall the floppy disk image with the origional setting of the machine.

This will take a few weeks to get here.

Does anyone know the password for the Xerox copycentre 238 NVM Speed adjust passcode? this is located under dc131 of service mode.

I think if I can in here I can solve my issue, well it is worth a shot. present value is set at 32 and default at 33.

Does this pass work with all machines? Aren't you supposed to give machine serial number, and get back pass code?
