DC-12 (off-setting) or toner chipping off the paper, do to LOW fuser temp.

The reason that I say the fuser temprature is too low is because the 1st few copies are great. but then as copies continue through the machine, the toner begins to chip off, & the paper is not warm enough to the feel. EXAMPLE----like a konica/minolta C250 with the pressure levers(on the fusing unit) in the envelope position. QUESTION> what must be done to increase the fuser temprature a bit, & if it is done through the survice program mode, which one is it.

I would first check fuser nip and condition of fuser roller.

well the condition of the f-rollers look good. And according to britt at PARTS DROP, the info on there said I would need to use an interface with my Lapetop in order to adjust the nip, but said if that was in qwestion--I could adjust the pressure screws abit. ALSO if it was the nip being out, why would the 1st 3-5 or so be so good. Im thinking because the paper is dragging down the temp of the F-unit below the bonding temp. If you know how to make the adjustment (why not just tell me) This is why I posted this the way I did. I SIMPLY WANT TO KNOW HOW TO MAKE THE ADJUSTMENT. Thankyou Sir,

on the DC12 you can do all the adjustments in service mode . You dont need the laptop.
Secondly if there is drop in temperature you will get an error . Check if the thermisters are touching the fuser rollers. If they are having proper contact then temperature is not your issue.

Yours could also be an oil issue , The rollers drying up after few prints . Check the oil supply
a machine is only as good as your tech : source:screwtape ; the scary one

A lot of times the machine is overtoned. Doing Max Setup through the UI can be easy and might take care of the issue.

Hi John, I have the same problem. I get white spots/cracks specially on pictures and it gets worst if keep printing, i have change paper & paper weight setup on the machine, i also change the whole fuser unit and trasfer belt unit and i am still dealing with this problem. Now i think we have the same problem. I heard you can change fuser temperature using 25 mode softswitches but i dont know what switches to adjust, can you let me know if you find anything to fix this problem and i would do the same for you, Thank you
