    Xerox Pro 255 "System unavailable"

I have Xerox WC Pro 255. During the initialization I am getting a message "System unavailable. Do not power down until the power down message appears
Communication error Try powering down then on again
Please call for assistance if problem persists"
I need some support. I think that probably NVRAM has been corrupted. Can you please tell me what I can do? After some retries with reset button and removale of battery of the software module I had access in service mode but when I trie to access the "dC routine" it asks me for a password. Do you have any idea what I have to do because all the passwords that I posses is no more available due to NVRAM corruption and how to load the system on the machine?

    Thank you and Best regards

i had an issue similar to this where it said "printing and scanning unavailable", at the end of a long road found that it needed an LVPS.. also in your case i agree with the above, use pws to reload most current firmware.

          Hello!
I also used to turn down this bug!
The imaging panel connections, NVMRAM, RAM reconnecting. The network driver must be pulled out of Fire wire. Power on! Start! Power off! Reconnect the LAN! Done!

Remove fireware card from SIP. Now you have a only copier machine. Reload firmware for copier and make it to work. After that connect fireware pwb and attach controller.

I' trying Diagnostic Tools Xerox CopyCentre, WorkCentre, WorkCentre Pro 232-275 v12.4. Machine prepares to upgrade, in the UI display a table with SIP, UI, NC DADH etc. without progress and then takes restart. After restart of the machine in the PWS shows a popup windows saing "Machine not available or communication error detected
Please read Software Upgrade Help Trouble Shooting Guide to assist in diagnosing the problem". What else I can do

I ask you what version of firmware ( new system software version ) it is ,not about diagnostic tool version.
If New System Software Version is the same or older than the Current System Software Version then software upgrade not work. You may choose ' Forced Upgrade' before click on 'upgrade' button.
If you use diagnostic tool version 12.4 it seems to use Win 7 on your PWS laptop. Try a PWS on Win XP

Yes but it's not giving me the opportunity to select the upgrade file. It seems that the machine can't read the actual software. If I achieved in this part of upgrade choosing to upgrade only or force upgrade my problem resolved. The first thing it's a preparation of machine to upgrade and then I can choose the upgrade file but there is a lost of communication between PWS and machine in preparation.

Reinstall diagnostic software and SIP usb drivers.
                            The firmware file look like:
                            DC_12-060-22-110-bot-c.ugd

What version of PWS is on your laptop ?
