DC 5065II Delivery Door keeps braking

The exit door on our DC 5065II keeps braking the teeth that move inline with the duplexer / delivery tray. Some teeth broke off, so we called the techs and they put a brand new door on, the techs went away and the following week the teeth fell off again.

    Some symptoms:
When printing with no duplex a sheet goes through the machine and jams at the door. Will happen on card and paper, but mostly paper.

When duplexing some paper goes directly through before getting to the duplexer and spits out into the delivery tray causes a jam. The teeth don't seem to moving to direct the paper to the duplexer.

Sometimes on any print the teeth would close shut tight (like it gets stuck) and would cause a jam then the teeth would have to be opened manually.

The company that changed the door doesn't have a solution just yet. As we had to pay for the door and a few hours of labor with no fix, they tell me they don't have a solution just yet.

So am wondering if anyone would have any ideas that I can take to them so they can fix this machine.

    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thankyou

just back up the bottom hinge with some piece of metal, the door with the OCT is too heavy and the hinge is bend down. The door must close absolutely freely without any obstruction.

The door is closing the way it should, there are no obstructions. The teeth don't really come in contact with anything at all ... comes out of the fuser (a little space) then the teeth either move down to the duplexer or straight ahead to the output tray.

What I am thinking is there is a solanoid or motor that drives the shaft that the teeth are connected to.

I rekon it is when the shaft moves the teeth up and down (everytime a sheet is going through) the shaft is only partially moving back into position and the next sheet rotates it further than where it is suppose to go ... then breaking the teeth.

The new door cost around $650 but didn't solve the problem ... so I'm a little hesitant just to rush into it.

can you post a picture of the jamed paper ??

But when you print simplex and you dont have changed print from face down to face up the machine use the inverter !!! so that the copies printed out are in correct order.

When the paper gets jammed, it be goes to the 2nd sensor (a sensor with a little arm hanging down) and just stops.

But sometimes the teeth are closed shut and the paper will just consentena against the door causing a jam.

The paper doesn't jam all the time ... just randomly.

I'm pretty sure when it goes to the 2nd sensor the bar with the maybe isn't moving up far enough (staying open) ... and when it consentena's when the bar has travelled too far around.

I just finished printing 520 SRA3 150gsm sheets duplexed with no problem.

Remembering there are teeth missing, I couldn't put them back on as they splintered into too fine pieces and couldn't be used. This restricts me somewhat as I can't do A4 short edge first.

There is 4 sections of teeth on the bar ... every section has cracked off at different times. At the momment we just put them back on and melt them with solvent to make them stick.

So its not every print run ... but does happen randomly throughout the day. Everyday we are getting several times when the teeth are stuck closed together ... or the sheet is stuck at the 2nd sensor.

Hope I'm making sense and thanks for your help. Sorry I don't have a picture of a jam just yet ... but will post one when it happens next.

hmmm.... the changed door is new ??? or used?? there is a one way clutch at the end of the exit rolls but after the 2nd sensor. When the changed door is new so i have no idea. Maybe the faul code can help. When the paper jam occurs there is a fault code on the UI left bottom corner or print the error report. g2g bb tomorrow.
