Xerox phaser 7300 keeps displaying low toner

I found this printer that a company was trying to throw away. So i took it in hoping that someone could help me identify the problem and hopefully i will be able to fix it. They said that it all started when the printer said that it needed a new black imaging unit, they replaced it, and then it said it was low on black toner, they replaced the toner and it still displays low toner, and also when they removed the black toner, there was spilled toner in the machine right right below the toner, where the black toner sits. Does anyone know how i can fix this? They said it sometimes display no black toner even when they just had put in a new toner a few days ago.

there are 4 toner flags on the top of the clamshell. they are between the led assemblies. these basically move up because of a magnet and a metal flap that moves in the toner cartridge...there is a foam damper in the optical sensors that register the movement of the flags...i usually just remove the damper (foam) and clean the flags. you will have to remove the cover of the clamshell and remove the board.

I was under the impression that Phaser 7300 was a similar engine to WC7345 series...
Just a few years working with Xerox gear, so forgive my ignorance.
Does this have the tube toners?
I'm thinking of the toner set switches that can pop loose on 7328/35/45.
Also, the toner cartridge itself can be reset with the little slide tab in the back.
I may be thinking of an entirely different machine group.

look at part number 18 and 19.

you will see the little foam dampers on 18. just remove whats left and clean.
there is also a screw for the top clamshell on the far left edge thats hard to get to.

Thank you guys for the Help. I replaced the Flag kit for the black toner and now it works. Thank god they told me they had a old broken Phase 7300 in their storage, so I just took out the Flag Kit and replaced it. Now it is working great. Thanks and hopefully nothing else will go wrong with it, and if it does, I will post it here again..LOL

I changed the Flag Kit and I didnt get any of those messages saying to reseat the toner. Go ahead and try it.
