    [CQ] WC7775; High frequency banding

Here's my issue, in brief. I'll expound later as requested or as I think of anything...

HF (approx. 8 lines per mm) K only digital banding, edge-to-edge (extends outside of image write area). Appears as uniform background to the naked eye.

IQ issue presents very light after about 40-60 Letter sized sheets; copy, print, simplex, duplex, color or b&w; gets progressively darker through 100 click test runs. Very uniform progression (looking at fanned stack edges looks like grayscale fade).

    Steps taken
Reseated several connectors; 2nd BTR, LVPS, drum motors, developer bias, etc... The standard stuff.

    Swapped transfer belt hv unit.

Currently waiting for parts: K developer, dev. housing & drum.

    Thoughts?

try interchanging ym laser with ck laser for testing purpose only. if problem shift to magenta replace k laser. black will not come proper bcaz of ym ros it print in strips not complete patch from inboard to outboard due to change in design of both the laser.

        Okay... Huh?

K/C ROS is shaped differently than M/Y ROS... Thus, it no fit in da hoal! How me sposeda test??

Anyway, I've got a new ROS to drop in tomorrow (and a dev. housing as a long shot).

        Wish me luck.

Usta carry one. Generally manifests a little differently. I'm looking squinty-eyed at the dev. drive for this particular issue... Sell me.

On the way to customer now... Crossing all that's crossable.
