Docucolor 5000 prints with deleted trail edge

Hi, I'm trying to fix a problem I'm having with a Docucolor 5000, whenever I print any heavy stock, the prints would come out with a partial print on the trail edge. It looks like the page is curled, but from experience, this happens on the lead edge, but not the other way around.

This happens when I print on any size paper and the deletion is in the same spot from the edge of the paper on all the prints, except if I print on light weight paper.

    Please any help is appreciated

If you post a scan it would be helpful.
From your explanation I think that you suffer from problem so called "trail edge flip" defect.
This usually happens on stiff and non-recommended paper.
First try to lower the 2nd transfer value, this may fix it.
Second to try is, open your diagnostic sw and search through transfer nvms. Search for TES NVMs this is the value you need, depending on paper weight/type and print coverage you can change the 2nd transfer voltage for the trail edge.
    Good luck.

I believe this may be my problem, is there anything I can do about it if I don't have the pws?

Yes, lower 2nd transfer voltage from user interface.

I've attached the image of the scan

I've tried the various settings for the 2nd bias transfer roll at either 50% or 150% and it didn't make any difference.

The paper that's used is a 100# gloss cover, if that makes any difference.

Nice pic, but it will great if you mark where lead and trail edge are or point where is the problem.

                Is this the problem?
If yes, this is not "trail edge flip/smear" this something else.

If you use correct settings of paper size in your computer that match the paper size in your machine then the error goes from registration and magnification of the copier/ printer. You need to do registration series and after that make little adjustements for paper weight you use for those prints.

Brown is going to purple, am I right?
In some cases there is nothing you can do about it. But I think you need to call a tech, you may need a new 2nd transfer unit or only adjustment.
Both cases you need either PWS tool or tech.
                      Good luck.

I believe it could be my 2nd BTR, since that hasn't been replaced since we've had the machine installed.

or maybe increase the voltage on the unit, but doesn't that make it wear out faster?

Sorry but on my monitor I cant see the brown color going to purple color.
Anyway if this is defect before change 2nd BTR you need first to do a powerful clean of 2nd BTR assy make adjustements and try to print again. But without PWS and service manual the right way to do that is to call a tech. Check your pm.
