WC 5020

Hello all,
I have a WC5020 with DADF that will not show the link code input screen after inputting the chain code. The copier returns the chain code input screen after inputting and pressing start. This happens for some and not all codes. Because of this I cannot check the total counter 25-01 nor even do a fuser reset 50-20 if eventually this occur. Any suggestions. Thanks

I think software / firmware corrupted or keys with problems.
You dont have any error code ?

There are two ways to enter diagnostic.
It depends if machine is with platen cover or ADF , or with DADF.
There are differences in How to Input the Chain and Function!

Check service manual Chapter 6 page 4

You dont have any error code ?

No I don't have any code. I noticed this while trying to check the counter.
Some codes worked, some didn't. Do you mean control panel keys?

Yes cntrl panel keys.

But you try this method:
press and hold keys nr. 2 for at least 5 seconds then also press stop keys.
The display will show ' run ' and will print out a configuration report. On this report you'll see the meter counter

I did check all that. I am able to enter the service mode and input chain code but not the link code because the link code input screen doesn't come up for some codes like 23-01 and 50-20. Each time. You enter the chain code for the affected ones it returns thhe chain code screen instead of going to the link code screen
