xerox synergix scanner error 50000008

I am having a problem with scanner that is displaying a error 50000008.

Can anyone assit me with this problem?

Are you sure this is a Synergix scanner, and not a 7346 or 7356? The error you mentioned is very common to the later models of scanner. Is there a switch on the upper right hand cover that allows you to move the document in and out?

I have the same error (50000008) with scanner 7346. You wrote it is a common problem. How to resolve it? There is nothing in Service manual.

Before figuring out what steps to take for troubleshooting you have to figure out which model scanner you have. The 7346 / 7356 have a solid base frame and a switch on the top right side that allows forward and reverse control of the document feed motor. The Synergix scanner typically has an open frame base, and just the main control panel on the top of the scanner.
