i am a new canon tech who happens to have a Xerox 8830 in the field.
this particular machine has recently dropped all of its networking info.
it is a direct to IP set up and it has for some reason dumped all of its info and switched form static to DHCP... it needs to changed back but i have no idea how to do this. ive been searching through the service manual that i have for this machine but i cannot find any resources that explain how to do this procedure.
can any of you brillialnt xerox techs help me out? Any thoughts on why this might have happened?
i was speaking with the key operator of the machine and he mentioned that he found the machine jammed and unplugged... so i suspect that the machine jammed, and then somebody just unplugged it and walked away.
