[Misc] XEROX 252 quality issue

bad copies.jpgI am trying to fix a problem with a xerox 252. The black has an issue where I am getting fade out line about an inch wide. I replaced the black drum but that didn not fix the problem. I was wondering if the developer unit may have a problem. I usually work on KM not xerox so not sure what to do next.

Post here a sample of defect. One image is more powerful than 1000 words to describe the issue.

Looks like dirt on the Black/Cyan laser mirrors

The faint zone in solid black area is not so evident so the developer unit is ok
Check BkC ROS or 2nd BTR.

are there any instructions on how to get to the laser mirrors to clean them?

You are KM tech- should to know how to clean laser mirrors.

Pull out the drum assembly . You can access the laser mirror glass .if you are lucky , you can see dust on the glass clean it and you are done .

Removing the ROS from top is much hell of a task .

I did remove the drum assy yesterday and cleaned the best I could from under but having the same problem, I am going in from the top today... wish me luck!

what I need is a diagram of exactly where everything is located. I have manuals on everything else I work on, not this xerox
