I think that you can fix that without PWS .
Just steer the belt back in place, check to see that the patch is good and shiny. Check that the edge sensor is touching the belt ( belt tends to curl on the edges and not touching the sensor).
Then power off and power on.
This will trigger the belt edge learning procedure.
DC 6060 is different kind of machine. It has almost diagnosis on external software named pws tool. PWS ( Portable Workstation Service) is a laptop with software on it named gsn or pws This is the main software xerox tech use for repair xerox boxes. On main pws run pws tool which is machine specific software.
DC956 is a specific routine from pws tool. If you want to self service DocuColor 6060 you need service manual, pws and pws tool. If you want more details send me a mail.
wow if you dont know what pws is ,you better call a tech.
To run Belt edge routine you have to use pws.
I fixed My DC12 machines without any need of tech for more than 5 years, I just boght matiryals from Xerox
maybe I know Whats that PWS
Just Explane to me please
I know how to exchange NVM Values and to Replace every Part and I can fix every thing
I know where the proplem is and I cleaned the IBT and the sensor but the IBT moves again and again
Check the spring that moves the belt edge sensor, I had the same error but with DC2060 after cleaning the interior of the machine I had accidentally unlinked it. There is a thread in this forum http://www.copytechnet.com/forums/xe...009-343-a.html . Not sure the NVM for resetting the error is the same in 6060. You can do it without PWS but honestly I think servicing DC6060 without PWS is not a good idea.
