Xerox wc 5222 - scan function

Hi all. I need to know how to install and use this copier as a scanner. I need it to scan from a local PC, connected to the copier with an usb cable.

Scan to usb is impossible. To be able to scan you need Printer PWB and the HDD.
Printer PWB 540K08781


Scan features are:


File formats: PDF, TIFF, Multipage TIFF, XPS;
Features: Scan to Mailbox, Scan to PC, Scan to Home, Job Flow Sheets


Optional:


Black and white Scan to Email Kit (w/ LDAP and Mailbox functionality),
Black and white Network Scan Kit, Scan to PC Desktop

The copier has all the options installed. It works even as a network printer. So how do i use it as a scanner on a local PC?

I did not know that there is a printer.


Try it with a crossover cable between the machine and computer.
In this connection works as priter.
Scanning with a crossover cable - I do not know.

Probabil ai doar optiunea scan to email si scan to mailbox.
Nu poti scana direct in pc. Trebuie sa setezi aparatul sa scaneze in mailbox si de acolo extragi, prin retea ,fisierul in pc. Sau scan to email si ai fisierul in inbox-ul din mailul tau

Hi all. Adriansto told me to folow the steps that are specified in the brochures on the xerox website. I tried today and i managed to scan and extract the files to the pc, using mailboxes. Thank you all for your help.

Hi all. I revive this old thread with an issue i'm having. So, i need to setup a xerox 5222 for network scanning. Problem is when the machine starts, i don't have the "scan to email" and "scan to mailbox" options. For what i know, the scan kit must pe installed using a certain password written in the original documentation that came with the copier. My question is this : if the customer lost the cd's and documentation, how can i manage to install the scan function? What exactly is that password written in the documentation that came with the machine? Can it be found somehow? Is it a password that's specific for each machine?

It seems interesting. Gonna try it tomorrow. Anyway, what does the site display after you enter the serial number? Any chance that i can get my password?

Sorry. Just checked it out a little bit better. It seems that if i enter the serial number , it will give me the keys for activation. Dorez, thanks a lot man. I really owe you one. Saved my a$$.

go to maintenes menu by typing 0 to six secneds the press the satart key (green key ) THE THE PASS 6789 AND ENTER

2.go to maintenece

3. find ther the "software option "

4. on the keboard type this code : #nBZpeDYYHOY

THEN REBOOT THE MACHINE AND ALL THE SCANING WILL BE OPEN

Select Support and Drivers

Enter 5222 in the Search window

Select your machine

Select Documentation

Select User Guide

Follow directions

Scan to your heart's content
