WCP 232 toner / developer difficulties

My Workcentre Pro has been acting up. When I try to print or make copies, the copies come out very light, and then after about 6 prints, the printer stops and says "Toner Sensor Error" or something to that effect. I go into the diagnostics and it turns out the toner sensor is reading "HIGH". According to the service manual this means toner concentration is LOW.

So after I unlock the toner sensor, I go into component control and look at the toner sensor and run the toner dispenser. After running the toner dispenser, the sensor goes back to "LOW" and I can run prints again. After about 6 prints, the printer stops and I get the toner sensor error again. Repeat ad nauseum.

Do you have any ideas? I really don't want to spend a couple hundred on a new developer module, and I have a feeling there is a simpler solution.

    Many thanks!

    1. The toner dispenser gear is worn, glue it, or replace
    2. the devhousing assy bearing is dead, which kills the gears of the augers

Thanks for the reply. I took the dispenser off and examined all the gears. Every gear looks as good as new. I'm not sure how to get at the bearing. Is there a document for servicing the developer module?

I should point out that this problem started after I dusted the inside of the unit with compressed air.

Electrostatic discharge. May be you blowup the toner sensor from dispenser module.
Check if the toner sensor works
