DC12 will not print on glossy paper

    Hello,

I have a older Xerox Docucolor 12. I can print fine on plain paper but not on glossy paper. I found that the fuser oil was empty, filled it, tried printing 20 to 30 more sheets and still the same problem. If I run a sheet of plain paper and print a blank page after printing a large image on glossy paper, the image is ghosted on the back side of the plain paper.

I am a startup one man business. Should I just replace the entire fuser cartridge?

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you,
    Sam

If it was out of oil, I would first check oil pump. In Component control 10-033!
But if you have entire Fuser assy, replace it.

OK I found the instructions on the 10-033 in the service manual. Thank you again!

If you have SM you can find how to enter diagnostic and component control.
Cheat front interlock and start 10-033. If the pump doesn't operate replace it.
