    Phaser 7760 RAM error message

Getting a RAM error message after trying to reload firmware. Machine seemed to reboot during the reload process and I am currently unable to clear the RAM error - unable to get into diagnostics. The original problem was a dead machine and I found the image processor board with five volts shorted. Was not able to get the machine back to normal after replacing that board: continuous reboot, install metered black cartridges message. Tried to reload firmware to solve this issue.

Anybody have any ideas? Thanks! Glenn

Turned out to be bad ram (!). Evidently, there are at least 2 image processor bds.One will take only 1 stick, there will accept 2. If I put the good IP/w the 2 good ram sticks in the bad 7760, the same message will come up - fooled me. It had 2 bad ram sticks and a shorted ip brd.
