    Altboot problem with w7 32-bit

    Greetings,
Does anyone know what might be the reason for altboot not work in W7.

MFP where I tried to update the firmaware was WS3545.

Error which I receive is the following:
Check coms line: reset machine and/or pws application if necessary.

This problem occurs everytime, after selecting mini-kernel and started uploading the necessary file. All firewall/virus scanners are down.
I also tried, with vmware player using virtual xp, but the result was the same.

With normal windows XP I don't have any problem.

Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

May be your driver for usb to serial adapter dont work fine under Win7. What version of WCPS do you use ?

      Hi,
With 32- bit W7 we use version 6.1(Black background color) and with virtual machine 32- bit xp version 1.82(White background). We dont't use usb adapter at all, but a direct connect to serial port. Everything works fine untill the firmware choice(ess)... mini kernel uploading etc. works fine.
