5665 08-150 Jam

Anyone seen a random 08-150 code? Says registration jam , but it never happens when we are on site it always happens in middle of night per error log.

Although it happens in the middle of the night, its probably not gremlins. I would check the condition of the registration clutch. You can also have 08-150 jams caused by the paper skewing as its being fed and then jams at the registration area. Have the user limit paper feeding to one tray at a time so see if its only jamming when being fed out of 1 of the paper trays. Trays 3 and 4 can develop paper cuts on the front-inside of the tray. These cuts can cause paper skewing / jams. You can sand these cuts smooth or install a tray rib kit (metal plates that cover the plastic ribs). Another thing to check is the drive for the vertical transport rollers. I often find screws that come loose (behind the waste toner bottle) for the plates that hold the vertical drive in place.
