5675 adjust registration

I have the hardest time adjusting registration for the 5675 series. When I go into diagnostics and run it nothing seems to move. Does anyone have a simple explanation how to run and adjust it? Maybe I'm not doing it right?

The registration adjustments procedure is wery well documented in service manual.
What is the problem in fact ?

When you are doing the 1st side and 2nd side registration adjustment, follow the instructions on the display screen. You will be measuring the distance from the edge of the paper to the 20mm mark on the printed registration sheet for A and D. When complete, the final printed sheets should measure exactly (or close enough within spec) 20mm from the edge of the paper to the mark.

When you are doing the scanner glass and ADF registration adjustments, you will be measuring the distance from the 20mm mark on the test print to the "edge of print" (not the edge of the paper, measure from the 20mm mark to where you stop seeing print in the direction of the edge of the paper)

Hope this helps. I find registration adjusting on this line of machines pretty easy. There is no guessing involved. Just punch in the data you get from your ruler and the machine calculates the rest. If you are trying to guess at a number and just increasing or decreasing a little at a time, your doing it wrong. Save your self a lot of time. Bring along a metric ruler and you'll be done in no time.
