Enter service mode (hold 0 for more than 5 seconds then press start, enter the code 6789)
1. Hit Machine Status key
2. Under Tools/Common Services settings select "maintenance/ diagnostics"
3. Go to page 2 with down arrow and hit Adjustment / Others.
4. Select HFSI counter
5. select the chain link you want to change.
6. select details
7. select change spec life
8. enter the max number using the key pad (99999999)
9. save
Max out these 4 chain links to keep the machine from going down due to an HSFI counter hitting its programmed limit.
954-820 (IBT - transfer belt)
954-821 (2nd BTR - transfer roller)
954-822 (IBT cleaner -transfer belt cleaning unit)
954-850 (fusing unit)
Do that and you'll just need to replace the above parts when they actually fail and cause either jamming or poor image quality problems.
