I have two Xerox Phaser 6120, each with a different problem.Phaser 6120 #1:Problem: After a months of using it, it said "Imaging Unit Out" which I was not surprised cause I have used it for a long time. I ordered a new Imaging Unit, installed it and still the "Imaging Unit Out" display shows up, so I went and took out the Imaging Unit from Phaser 6120 #2 and installed it in it and it didn't work also, it still said "Imaging Unit Out". I cleaned the sensors inside the printer thinking it might be it but was not...or maybe I was not cleaning the right sensor.Phaser 6120 #2Problem: Everytime I turn it on, it automatically prints out that first paper and everytime it Jams in the fuser Unit...so I was thinking it was the Fuser Unit, so I took out the Fuser Unit from the Phaser 6120#1 and replaced it with but it still did not work, still got paper jam on the first print. So now both of my Phaser 6120's is broken and I can't use either of them.

Re: Xerox Phaser 6120
Phaser #1 possible causes: Another incident is active but not displayed (such as the waste toner unit not fully seated). Try to log on to the machine's Web UI (CWIS) by entering the machines IP address in a web browser of a computer networked with it. The additional fault may be displayed on the status screen. If no other message other than image unit out is displayed check (or recheck) the contact points where the image unit electrically connects with the printer. Toner or a small bit of paper on the contacts could block the signal not allowing the printer to "see" the imaging unit. Check + clean all metal contacts especially on the printer side.
Phaser #2 hard to come up with a cause for this one without seeing it happen and looking at the paper where it stops, its condition (flat, fold or wrinkled). Does the 1st sheet exit then call a jam or never make it out? Maybe you could try swapping out some other parts from phaser #1 to eliminate more areas. Possibly posting photos of the jam before you clear it. If the paper is stopping in the fuser but the fuser unit is not the cause it could be a sensor just before the fuser not being activated or possibly a timing problem, something causing the paper to arrive at the fuser later than expected. -

Re: Xerox Phaser 6120
In my post i explained how to log on the the CWIS.
These machines are networked?
Each machine has its own IP address on the network?
Find the IP address of phaser #1 (either from the machine or from any PC on the network)
Go to any PC on the network.
Open a web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, your choice)
In the space you would normally type in a web address, type in the machine's IP address (example: 192.168.1.100)
The machine's Web UI (CWIS) will open up on the PC like a web page.Comment
