    Xerox Dcoucentre color 240 CP

    Hi,

I am a new here and would like to ask a question that i have been facing a problem right now on xerox docu centre color 240 CP.

I do need to reset the fuser counter (replace now), transfer belt cleaner counter (replace now) and second bias transfer roll (soon). i know that it can be done in service mode under common setting , diagnostics, adjustment /others , HFSI counter reset. But the problem is that HFSI counter doesn't appear on the screen under diagnostics (only appear NVM reset and NVM R/W). So, Please anyone helps would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks inadvance

If you can't find it in the UI diagnostics, it must be accessible only through the diagnostic software running on a PWS that you attach to the machine via USB. I mostly work on newer Xerox equipment (sold within the last 8 years) but I have worked on a few older models that required a PWS to reset these counters (such as a Xerox Dc 3535 that I had to reset the transfer cleaner counter on).

The fuser counter can be reset by replacing the thermal fuse under the top cover. I don't recall the exact rating for it off the top of my head. After you install the new fuse and the machine starts to warm up, the thermal fuse will pop and that will trigger the machine to reset the fuser counter back to 100%.

Deeply thanks for the information Exok. The problem is that i don't have a PWS (software) to reset the counters. huhhhhhh. Is the machine still can be used without resetting the counter ? Right now, the printer is still working but prompting the machine status messages on the screen

      thanks again for the help
