Well, I've never had a DC12 or one of the bigger oil-based machines, so I can't say for certain. But they are far glossier than I ever could get on that weight of paper with the matching toner. Take a piece of quality smooth 32# paper and run it as heavy cardstock with a large solid coverage image. That'll give you an idea. (Of course, it will come out all curled, but the print finish will be similar.)
When I showed the prints to one person, commenting on the glossiness, he did say that it looked like it came out of a machine with an oil fuser. Whether he meant that as a positive or negative I couldn't determine... haha I know the output from those machines can strike people as good or bad. But in my case, I use that machine specifically when I DO want exceptional gloss, so there's no problem.
