I can use a hard drive from a controller 510dp on a PC
i the motherboard of controller is the same the motherboard of a computer

Depends upon the version controller you have. The version is determined by the first three alpha numeric of the serial number. Typical models used with the 510 are HFT, PUN, YKE & FRX. The YKE, FRX controllers are Dell boxes, which are standard Dell computers. The HFT / PUN controllers use a proprietary motherboard design. If you were to change the motherboard in one of the Dell boxes, then the feature keys from the older motherboard would have to be transferred to the replacement board. That is a bit complicated and uses the Xerox feature key website.

To answer your question, the truth of the matter is that I am constantly extracting detritus from my orifice. My apologies as well. I sometimes unaware of how the industry speak comes so naturally. I suppose many of those posting questions to this forum are novices with the systems they are inquiring about. It is often the case that when reading a question one recognizes the poster has no idea about servicing the product they are inquiring about. How do you impart the knowledge gained from professional training, experience, and access to manuals who has none of these? One could spend hours trying to boil down complicated solutions into a format appropriate to this forum. Quite the conundrum would you not say?
