[Misc] Xerox DC260 Yellow Color Misregistration

Im having an issue with the yellow misregistering on the prints. I need some help to fix this problem. The yellow is out by a few millimeters. I tried a few things after reading some posts and tried to initialize IOT the yellow misregistered even worse than before. When I print in black the text is clear but the colors prints have a yellow ghosting effect. I attached an image of the start up sheet and the test patterns. When I run the Regi Measuring Cycle they all come up NG.

    I have done the following:

    -Cleaned the ROS
-Swap the entire IBT assembly including the belt
    -Changed the MOB sensor
    -replaced the drums
-swap developers and entered new values in the ATC Sensor setup.

I'm dont know what else I need to do in order to fix this. If someone can help me it would be much appreciated.

Did you change tanks?? You can swap tank positions to eliminate that, I dont think its tank anyway, but it could be drum drive motor, you can swap magenta, cyan and yellow drives with eeah other, my best guess is its the mcu pwb or iot driver pwb, theres two ribbon cables connecing them, you can swap em around to see if fault changes!

If you have changed the the tanks and drums and other bits i think i would try the ros first.

I swap the 2 ribbon cables on the mcu pwb but it would give me a 094-322 error when I start up the machine. I put the cables back to its original place and the code is gone but still have the yellow registration issue.

I dont know what these tanks are. Can you please let me know where it is and I will get them replaced.

Please don't change the developer tanks. You're barking up the wrong tree.

Registration issues are related to the MOB sensor, Drum units and the IBT belt.

Remove Tray 5 then the left cover behind it. Reinstall Tray 5 without the left cover. You should be able to see the IBT belt (shiny black surface). Restart the unit and watch for the chevrons that are on the belt. Look for any discrepancies in the chevron shape or lack of them. Should be chevrons for every color. Also listen for the MOB sensor clicking as they open and close.

If the chevrons are damaged you may just need to replace the effected drum.

              Plaese report ant findings.

              Good Luck!

I think hes already replaced the drums, mob sensor and ibt assy! So that would eliminate them,i came across this problem one before on a 700, and it was the mcu, i cant see it being the ros because it should throw the magenta out too, could also be nvm corruption, have you tried backing up nvm and initialize the machine?? Cost nothing and takes 5 mins to do?? Im pretty sure the machine looks for the yellow as the first point of registration before it looks at the rest!

Yes I replaced the drums, installed another mob sensor and the entire ibt.

How do you backup the nvm and initialize the machine.

Log into CE mode then do a:

                      Registration Control Setup cycle
                      Registration Control Sensor Check Cycle
                      Registration Measurement Cycle

Should be "OK" any "NG" are issues

                      Then:
Look at at recent faults, should be some "089" codes.

                      Please report your findings
