    [CQ] Doc handler skew

I'm going to post this here in case it might help someone.
Recently, I was working on a machine that had significant skew on the prints when the original was fed through the document handler (I think it was a WC5855).
The first thing I did was try the DH registration adjustment, but it would fail. One time it was my fault (Machine says: Hey, dummy, the instructions right in front of your face says to load the paper in the DH SEF! Me: D'OH!), but when I loaded the three sheets correctly the adjustment would fail as well.
Turns out the document handler was physically out of alignment with the rest of the machine. Once I took care of that everything else worked.
Hope that helps, or at least gives some of you a chuckle over the tribulations of a noob.

I've noticed quite a number of 58xx DFs that would skew right from install. As you said the mechanical adjustment is easy to make. Simply loosen the hand screw that holds the right hinge to the copier then either tighten or loosen the screw that sticks out the back of the right DF hinge to straighten it out so that it is even with the copier then tighten the hand screw again.
