Xerox WorkCentre 7120 paper jam only when printing black

I have 2 Xerox WorkCentres 7120 with the same problem: they work fine when printing color, but jam when printing black. The jam occurs just before the fuser. It is like something is resisting the ITB or something like that, because the part of the image that has been transferred to the paper, looks 'compressed', as if the ITB has been rotating to slowly. I have tried replacing the black drum, ITB and 2nd BTR to no avail. Would anyone have a clue? Any help is greatly appreciated.

That is a strange sounding issue. More strange is that two machines are doing the same thing. What fault codes are you getting? Are both machines in the same location? Check your fault codes and then search searchlite for possible matches.

It's 077-110. Searchlite doesn't give me any results unfortunately

Loosing of drive to IBT assy.
The easy way is to replace IBT assy.
The hard way is to dismantle the IBT assy and check mechanical components. Also there, into IBT assy, are 1btr's metal only.

Thanks will check this. Already replaced the ITB assy with another from (at least as far as I knew) ok model, but will double check!

Odd that it is on two machines and only black but this fault can be caused by faulty POB sensor or slipping regi clutch, maybe the faster speed of the drives for b&w makes the problem worse, also found a searchlite tip 1303102. Mentions a missing screw causing loss of drive to the ibt assy - will have a clucking noise if this is the case

Theoretically, b/w speed and color speed should be the same... However, replaced entire registration transport assy + ITB assy, same problem

By the way, sometimes it doesn't jam, but I have the following defect in the print. Again, only in b/w, not in full colour.

When you print only black the only one active 1btr inside de IBT. The others colour 1btr's are retracted.
Check also the mechanical assy that drive the IBT mechanism.

If this problem occurs only in mono print I'd start from IBT retraction mechanics on the printer side.

Some info from Fuji fault database - for a DCIV2260 ( believe this to be Fuji equivalent) -part# may differ -link guide part is listed in the drives section

Cause - Defect of POB sensor.
Solution - The rotation of Main Drive Motor is OK. The operation of Take Away Clutch is OK. Operation OK of Regi. Clutch.Exchange of POB sensor.

He already changed an IBT assy.
