    [CQ] WC 7435 exposure adjustment

I'm wondering if someone would be so kind as to tell me how to make the exposure adjustment on the Workcentre 7435. The customer has this (among other issues) that he wants me to resolve for him since he has to lighten it up manually every time he copies from the glass. Your help will be most appreciated.

CLEAN the optics first and you probably won't NEED to adjust anything exposure-wise. Just turn it off first. Or don't ! Then tell us if something cool happens!

That's funny! So, let's pretend that it's not dirty optics and I need to adjust the exposure. How do I get into the tech rep mode or whatever other thing I need to do? The customer mentioned that the last time a technician was out, he adjusted the exposure and now they have to lighten (or darken... can't remember which) the exposure when they copy.

I went to this account today and the copies are coming out quite dark. I cleaned the optics but nothing changed. The standard exposure is 2 or 3 clicks off center to the dark side and the machine is set to "light original". I went into tech mode (0, start, 6789, confirm) but it wouldn't save my settings when I made them. What am I doing wrong?

These adjustments can be done by the customer. You log in to the machine as the administrator. Log in/out , enter: admin , default password is 1111.
Enter machine status, tools, feature defaults, copy defaults. In copy defaults set the the exposure settings as you like then save the settings.

The machine should have come with an administrator manual that has this and many more adjustments they can do themselves.

Thanks Exok... That would've helped. I did something today I've not done in years... I told a customer to "pound sand". Anyway, hopefully I'll remember this when I need to.
