    [Dead] Phaser 8560 RAM error

I have an oddball Xerox (I usually don't work on Xerox boxes) error. It comes up with RAM ERROR every time I boot it. I have replaced RAM and the electronics module. I can't get it to reset. Am I missing something here? Shouldn't that reset when you get the new parts in or is there a separate procedure to reset it? Could the new RAM be blown from a bad electronics module? Any help keeping my hair from being pulled out anymore would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks! I replaced the electronics module, but problem persists. I'm assuming the old module blew both the old RAM stick and then the new one as I installed it, at least that's the assumption I working under. I've ordered another RAM stick to try. Thanks!

        Hi,

where did you get the new memory you installed? did you get it through xerox? I had the same issue with a phaser 4150, Problem solved when I tried different memory brands until I found one that worked with the machine. If you have the old memory stick try to use the same brand and memory speed.

        hope this helps,
