At my office I have a 5775 that turns off after a couple hours. I found a small broken PJ on the SCB that is part of the watch dog timer going to the ui, thus causing this problem. Otherwise it's a good running copier. I also have a perfectly good running 5765, and both have the newest .132 sw loaded. I tried swapping the scb's between them while reusing the s/w modules and both get 3.340 faults, n/w controller failed. I was hoping that by reusing my S/W modules I wouldn't have to reload s/w. Am I missing something? Is this common when replacing the scb on the 57xx series?
In the past I upgraded s/w through the network. My question is what is a Xerox approved usb drive? I loaded the .dlm into the AltBoot folder on a blank usb drive. I am familiar with reloading s/w with my pws using altboot, a crossover cable, serial cable, null modem, etc. I will need the two small files that are loaded (like the kfz and ekp files) when I use the pws procedure. Any ideas? Have any of you successfully loaded s/w using a usb drive or using the pws?
Any help would be appreciated.
