Completely new to riso tech, need some guidance/advice

I'm thinking about buying a riso rz220 for about 400 and the seller said it comes with "starter supplies," 2 ink tubes, 2 master rollers, and a free stand with 500,000 copies and 2000 master count.

I know nothing about what to look for and how to shop for a riso and was wondering if this is a good deal or if i should shop around first?

What's a good riso machine to start out and test the waters in? I want to print multicolor, multiple layer prints, if not now, eventually.

Make sure that you can return it!

White lines in the copy means that it has a bad thermal print head, might be why the machine is so cheap!

You're not going to have much luck with multiple color, multiple layer prints. on two points:
1) Riso prints tend to bleed slightly at the edges of the lines, making the images all look bolded.
2) The color registration is not tight enough to get clean multiple layer prints.

If that's your purpose, a Riso is probably not the best choice. =^..^=
