RISO GR1700 Drum Problem (see image)

    Hello

So I have a RISO GR1700. I have 6 color drums and 1 black drum. The color drums work well and I don't really have any issues with them The black drum on the other hand seems to have developed an area that won't ink. I attached a picture where you can see the un-inked band that goes around the drum. I'm wondering if anyone has had this issue and if you can recommend a fix.

I would check the inking roller inside the drum. It is either damaged or has something stuck to it.

1st I wouldn't keep the drum vertical very long. The ink will start to run to places you don't want. Next clean the screens and then the roller system in the drum mentioned.

I agree with both posts above. You are going to have to crack it open and see what's blocking the ink roller. (I'd be willing to bet it's a screw that came loose.)
Color is not 4 times harder... it's 65,000 times harder. They call it "TECH MODE" for a reason. I have manual's and firmware for ya, course... you are going to have to earn it.
