i know i am probably telling you something you already know, but as an offset printer, who now runs a riso , the best way to get good feeding with friction feed is to do what we call feathering, that is to fan paper apart, to get as much air between sheets, spend a lot of time doing this , it solves a lot of feeding problems.

I agree entirely.
But just ask anyone here. It's hard enough to get the enduser to remove the wrappings on the ream, and to get the tray guides in position. How many here have seen whole wrapped reams of paper in a paper tray ("...but why won't it feed!"), paper in the wrong side of the tray, or paper guides 25mm + away from the edge of the stack of paper. Sometimes I think my endusers just stand 10 feet away and toss the ream at the machine.
As long as we're talking about paper, how about not buying the absolutely cheapest ream of paper sold? It helps when the paper is cut squarely, with sharp cutters that don't weld together the sheared edge of the paper. I think we've all seen some seriously inferior paper out there. =^..^=If you'd like a serious answer to your request:
1) demonstrate that you've read the manual
2) demonstrate that you made some attempt to fix it.
3) if you're going to ask about jams include the jam code.
4) if you're going to ask about an error code include the error code.
5) You are the person onsite. Only you can make observations.
