    GR3770 versus RN riso

Hi all - is the RN model of Riso any good - reliable etc. Am thinking of getting one to replace a GR3770. The RN has low copy count under 500,000. Anyfeedback would be great. thanks

I had been selling and service around 50units of this RN models since the last couple years. It is quite reliable as not much of serious problems need to attend for. But make sure you check and change the master ejection belt.

hi mate, when you say this unit, do you mean the 2550 or the earlier r n machines, i thought they would have straightened all the problems out by then.

I will agree with riso specialist. The RN machine is a POS. I would compare it with the TR series of Riso which is also a POS. The disposal unit is just stupid. Using rubber bands to dispose masters soaked in ink = fail. Try replacing a paper sensor on a RN unit. See you in a few days. Riso Specialist are Risos even 30 years old? I thought they came out in 85. I am not sure, but I also have worked on them all RG, RC, RA, GR, TR, CR, RN, RP, RZ, and HC series. Of all of them the RN is my least favorite and it would not compare to the dependability of a GR. Plus the RN is only legal while the 3770 will print 11 X 17.
